Board form concrete is one of the most elegant way

Board form concrete is one of the most elegant ways to adorn your exterior (and interior) walls. This custom home includes some long expanses of board form that beautifully contrast with the clean openness of the windows (including that corner window shown in a previous post).

The process is carried out in conjunction with our long term local professionals @nw_concreteworks_inc. The process requires many extra steps of preparation, wood finishing, vertical board placement and careful unveiling of the completed forms. Each form is a piece of art that is durable, weatherproof and fireproof. We think it looks amazing when done right!

One of our newest and most technically demanding projects ever: #TheSanctuaryMDI is multi-year build with some of the most impressive state of the art finishes, performance packages, teamed with aethestics and an irresistible natural setting.

We will be rolling out this project over the next year or so with the tag #TheSanctuaryMDI.

This short highlights an incredible automated "Corner Sliding Element" that will open onto an expansive deck and lakefront views. @airluxwindow and @glofenestration have brought European level performance and engineering into this building. One amazing performance function is that the sliding windows include seals that inflate and tighten the seal once the windows close up.

Just above the sliding element, well it's a cantilevered living roof with feet of soil and native plants above. Stay tuned for more shorts ...

Now with the framing completed and cedar siding being installed, this home is starting to take shape.
